Perfect for DSLR-monopod combination 4 by .. R. Jordan (Virginia)
I use this to mount my Nikon D40x on a Giottos MM9780 monopod. Lightweight and well made. The tension on the ball head is adjustable enough that you can steady your camera but still move it around to frame the shot. It can easily tighten down enough to hold the camera rigid. It is not very tall, so with the tripod straight up and down a vertical shot is not possible (the base of the camera hits the flat top of the monopod). This isn't a problem for me because I don't use the monopod straight up and down, I tilt it and brace it against my leg or hip. No quick release, but very good for the price.

Very Happy 4 by .. K. Leonhardt (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
Very good for the price does what it is advertised to do I also bought Opteka MP100 67" Pro Photo / Video Monopod together they hold my Sony Handy cam DCR - SR45 just fine.

Not bad for the price 4 by .. Peter Feige (Charlotte, NC United States)
A nice little mount for a monopod. It is compact enough (it adds about 2" to the height of the monopod), very light and appears well made. But this is a basic ball/swivel and leaves me wanting something more, but for the price it cannot be beat. I am an amatuer photographer and this head will probably be good enough for a few years so I really do not have any complaints.

Giottos Camera Mount 4 by .. J. Beckham ()
This is a great swivel head for a monopod and adds necessary functionality. I have not had any problems with my DSLR and telephoto lens. The price is good; however, you have to consider that the vendor adds $7 or $8 for shipping. Thus, if I had to do it again, I might spend an additional $10 at a local camera shop to get a camera mount with a removable base.
